How to Enable Apps from Unknown Sources on Amazon Fire TV
Follow the steps below to enable apps from unknown sources on your Amazon Fire TV device so you can install the SuperNova VPN app.
Step 1: Download the Downloader App
- Go to the Amazon App Store on your Fire TV device.
- Search for Downloader and install the app.
Step 2: Enable Apps from Unknown Sources
Access Settings:
- From the Fire TV home screen, navigate to the gear icon labeled "Settings" on the far right of the main navigation menu.
Select My Fire TV:
- Scroll down and choose My Fire TV (on Fire TV Stick or Fire TV Cube) or Device & Software (on Fire TV Smart TVs).
Enable Developer Options:
- If Developer options is visible, select it.
- If not, select About and press the select button on your remote seven times on "Fire TV Stick" or your device name.
- A notification will confirm that developer options are enabled.
Allow Apps from Unknown Sources:
- In Developer options, if you see Apps from Unknown Sources, turn it ON.
- If you see Install unknown apps, select it, then choose the app you'll use to install SuperNova VPN (e.g., Downloader) and turn the option ON.
